Unique Home Design Workshop for Homeowners

Noble Home Offering Unique Home Design Workshop for Homeowners

Noble Home , the progressive home building kit company based in Shelburne Falls, MA, is offering a workshop for homeowners to explore creative home design ideas by building models. This is yet another way Noble Home aims to empower homeowners with good energy efficient design that will be necessary in the resource limited future.  Building a home is a complex task, and with so many options available, it is hard to know where to begin. Current and future homeowners are inundated with mediocre alternatives from builders and expensive ones from architects. By being proactive in the design process, homeowners can save money and ensure a more satisfying result while working with a builder or architect.

HOME DESIGN WITH 3-D MODELS
March 6 and 13, 10am-noon
Buckland Public Library,
30 Upper Street, Buckland, MA
$55.
To register, please email or call Noble Home at:

(+$6 for self-healing cutting mat if desired)
FOR: Homeowners, students, design enthusiasts
GOALS: Learn an easy and fun method for exploring creative, energy conscious home design.
DESCRIPTION: Design an inspiring, creative solar home unique to you and your building site taking advantage of all the site has to offer. Three-dimensional cardboard “sketch models” will be the medium used in this organic design method without being limited by the 2 dimensional paper and orthogonal world. Use the workshop’s sample project or bring your own future project.

Conventional building methods are limited in effectively using our dwindling resources. Predetermined architectural styles and forms are not well suited to energy efficient and solar design, and even though they can be comforting due to their familiarity, they miss the opportunity to enable owners to become inspired by their place and live closer to nature. Learn to design a home that is both inspired by its natural surroundings and necessary for energy independence.

WORKSHOP CONTENT:
  • Introduction to architectural design
  • Construction methods
  • Site analysis
  • Spatial programs and bubble diagrams

Your Real Log Homes Representative for Franklin County, Mass

I recently partnered with Brooks and Linda Carswell from Grist Mill Country Homes and became the Real Log Home sales representative for Franklin County, Mass.

In 1984, my husband, John and I purchased our Real Log Home from Brooks.  After all these years, Brooks and I reconnected on another real estate matter.  I always wanted to be a representative for Real Log Homes and ironically they needed someone for this area.  I have sold many log homes and the thought of helping people achieve the dream of owning a Real Log Home is something I always wanted to do.  I not only have the resources of available land for sale, I understand construction, site planning and have a network of engineers and contractors that I work with.

As you listen to this video, Brooks will explain why Real Log Homes is the premier log home company in the area.  If you have any interest in receiving a catalog and learning more about log homes, don't hesitate to give me a call or send email.    413-337-8344 - wanda@wandamooney.com  Visit Brooks and Linda's website at www.GristMillCountryHomes.com.
